General Course Information
The Great Ocean Road Marathon & Festival of Distance running is held in a beautiful and unique area of Victoria, Australia on the Southern Ocean.
Each year that this event has been conducted, it has attracted many athletes from around the world, all eager to participate in this challenging and pristine environment.
The Great Ocean Road is an icon in Australia and is renowned throughout the world for its beauty and panoramic views of the southern ocean. It has a colorful history surrounding its construction and ultimate destinations along the coastline.
MARATHON/HALF MARATHON TIMES
All competitors who complete the full course in the marathon and half-marathon events will receive two sets of times in the official results – marathon entrants at the 42.195km mark and 45kms, and half-marathon entrants at the 21.0975km and 23kms. Those who do not complete the full course will be listed as DID NOT FINISH, with no times recorded.
DISTANCE MARKERS
- Marathon Distance Markers will be placed every 5kms throughout the event.
- Half Marathon Distance Markers will also be placed every 5km.
