Transport Accident Commission

TACThe Transport Accident Commission (TAC) is proud to support the 2012 Wheelchair Athletes’ Challenge.
It’s the second year this event has run as part of the Great Ocean Road Marathon, making the festival accessible to people living with disabilities.
Congratulations to the 2009 and ’10 TAC Wheelchair Athlete’s Challenge winner Richard Colman.
The TAC funds rehabilitation and support services for people injured in transport accidents, such as Brett McArthur. The TAC also promotes road safety, in an effort to reduce road trauma in the Victorian community.

Geelong Cross Country Club

The Geelong Cross Country Club organises the Geelong Half- Marathon held in May each year.
This is a wonderful, scenic course, with no road crossings, in a full loop around the Barwon River, Geelong. You will start your challenge at the Moorabool Street bridge and head towards Breakwater first.

Crossing the river, you will then run on the other side along the scenic walking track to Fyansford. Around the common, across the river again before heading home along the riverside track.

There are plenty of water stops along the way for you to replenish at, and the course is clearly marked.
